DIGITAL CONSTANT-TEMP PARAFFIN THERAPY DEVICES
DIGITAL CONSTANT-TEMP PARAFFIN THERAPY DEVICES
The computer-controlled constant temperature paraffin therapy instrument consists of a controller, wax melting tank, filter, constant temperature tank, wax discharge device, wax cake box, and film covering device.
Paraffin therapy utilizes heated paraffin as a thermal medium applied to the affected area to promote local blood circulation, stimulate superficial tissue growth, soften and resolve scars, reduce swelling, relax adhesions, and provide anti-inflammatory and analgesic auxiliary treatment. It has effects such as warming meridians, relaxing muscles, and relieving pain, reducing swelling, and dispersing stasis. It is commonly used for treating pain caused by wind, cold, and dampness, effectively alleviating deep tissue edema, inflammation, and pain. Paraffin exhibits excellent plasticity, viscosity, and extensibility.
Working principle
The constant temperature wax therapy machine integrates traditional wax therapy methods with modern technology. It utilizes the good thermal insulation properties of paraffin, which has a low melting point (solid to liquid phase change). By directly contacting the skin through wax, it generates warmth, mechanical solidification pressure, and lubrication characteristics to achieve therapeutic effects. Simultaneously, the device is equipped with an automatic temperature control system, maintaining the wax temperature consistently between 58 - 60℃, thereby achieving optimal therapeutic and cosmetic outcomes.
Wax therapy has a long history in China and has been used for treating various diseases. In traditional Chinese medicine, it has been practiced for centuries. The Compendium of Materia Medica records: "For frostbite on the feet, apply concentrated yellow wax ointment. For burns and red, swollen sores, use four ounces of sesame oil, one ounce of angelica, and one ounce of yellow wax. After boiling and removing the residue, cool it and apply it on a cloth—it is highly effective." Modern wax therapy employs heat conduction to transmit thermal energy and is widely used for conditions such as neck, shoulder, waist, joint stiffness, and facial paralysis.

Function
Paraffin therapy is a method of treating diseases primarily using paraffin wax. Due to its high heat capacity, low thermal conductivity, and long heat dissipation time, paraffin wax is the best medium for conducting heat therapy. It can closely contact various parts of the body and is a unique traditional treatment method in China with effects such as warming meridians, relieving pain, reducing swelling, and dispersing stasis. Therefore, it is commonly used in clinical settings to treat pain caused by wind, cold, and dampness, joint stiffness, and scar improvement. After heating, the paraffin is applied to the affected area, allowing local tissues to be heated, blood vessels to dilate, microcirculation to improve, and cell permeability to increase. Due to the good insulation properties of paraffin wax, the heat is maintained for a longer period, which is beneficial for reducing deep tissue edema, inflammation, and pain.
The thermal effect of paraffin therapy can penetrate up to 0.2 - 1 cm below the skin. After treatment, the local skin often appears reddish, and paraffin therapy has a strong and lasting thermal effect. During treatment, local blood vessels dilate, promoting local blood circulation, enhancing cell membrane permeability, facilitating the absorption of lymphatic fluid and blood exudates within tissues, and reducing tissue edema. It is suitable for injuries, inflammation, joint dysfunction, etc. Paraffin therapy can also inhibit sweat gland secretion, causing profuse sweating during treatment, which helps reduce tissue edema.
Paraffin wax has good plasticity and extensibility. During treatment, it closely contacts the skin. As the temperature of the wax gradually cools, its volume shrinks, exerting pressure on the skin and subcutaneous tissues, thus producing a gentle mechanical compression effect.
Due to the oily substances contained in paraffin wax, it has a lubricating effect on the skin, making it soft and elastic, with a beautifying effect. It can soften and relax scar tissue and muscle contractures. Paraffin therapy can improve skin nutrition, promote skin metabolism, accelerate epidermal growth, and promote the regeneration process and formation of bone callus.
